WASHINGTON DC (PRECISE POST) – Secretary General of United Nations (UN), Antonio Guterres has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari who died on Sunday in a London Hospital.
The UN Scribe who took to his official X account to pour out his mind, highlighted late Buhari’s enduring legacy in regional peace and multilateral cooperation.
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of former President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari.” “He played a key role in advancing regional peace and security, and was a strong advocate for multilateral and regional cooperation.” Guterres said.
He also extended his condolences to Buhari’s family, the Nigerian government, and the people of Nigeria, as the nation and the continent mourn the loss of one of Africa’s prominent statesmen.
Precise Post recalls that fomer prrsident Buhari was buried on Tuesday in Daura, Katsina State.
