SAUDI ARABIA- The Saudi Ministry of Health has shared key guidelines for managing common injuries during and after Hajj as part of its efforts to safeguard pilgrims’ health and ensure a safe experience.
The News Agency of Nigeria of Nigeria ( NAN) reports that the guidelines available in eight languages, cover topics such as
wearing proper footwear and avoiding slippery surfaces and steep climbs.
Others are managing ankle sprains and bruises, applying cold compresses, elevating the foot, and avoiding pressure on the injured area
Monitoring blood sugar levels for individuals with diabetes, regular monitoring and balanced snacks are recommended.
Treating nosebleeding, sitting down, leaning forward, and applying gentle pressure to the nose for 10 minutes; seeking medical help if bleeding persists
The ministry encourages pilgrims to follow preventive measures and first aid guidelines to ensure their safety during and after the Hajj.
According to the ministry, these efforts align with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Programme and the Pilgrim Experience Programme under Saudi Vision 2030.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to raising health awareness and delivering top-tier care to all pilgrims, encouraging everyone to follow preventive measures and first aid guidelines to ensure their safety during the Hajj. ( NAN)
