….Announces Continued Efforts Against Crime

ABUJA (PRECISE Post) – The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has lauded the collaborative efforts of security operatives who successfully rescued three kidnapped victims in Anambra State and three others, including a naval officer, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This was contained in a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi released on official X account of Nigeeia Police Force (NPF) Abuja.
According to the statement, on March 22, 2025, a joint team consisting of operatives from the Anambra State Command and other security agencies managed to rescue three individuals who had been abducted in the Nkwelle-Ezunaka area of Oyi Local Government. The victims, who had sustained injuries during their captivity, were immediately taken to a hospital and are reported to be recovering.
In a separate operation, on March 21, 2025, three individuals, including a naval officer, were abducted in the Mpape area of the FCT. Responding swiftly, operatives from the FCT Police Command, in partnership with the Nigerian Military, the DSS Hunters, and local vigilantes, successfully rescued all three victims on March 23, 2025. They were found unharmed at the Anguwan Mu’azu area of Nasarawa State, and four suspects were arrested in connection with the abductions.
In his statement, IGP Egbetokun commended the security officers for their bravery, teamwork, and commitment to the safety of citizens. He reassured the public of the Nigeria Police Force’s continued dedication to fighting crime and ensuring the safety of lives and property across the country.
