Anambra innovation hub representatives at the IASP Awards
AWKA- Anambra State’s Solution Innovation District (SID) has been ranked among top three globally at the 2025 International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) Inspiring Solutions Awards.
The ranking was announced during the IASP World Conference held in Beijing, China, where SID stood out among 80 others from different countries.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that SID is a community of innovators, inventors, technologists, social entrepreneurs, tech companies, government, investors, digital tribe and smart artisans.
They provide solutions to local and global problems.
Reacting to the award Dr Nonye Soludo, the wife of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo, expressed joy at the state’s global recognition.
Her media aide, Mr Daniel Ezeigwe, in a statement issued in Awka on Thursday quoted the governor’s wife as describing the award as a major step in Nigeria’s digital advancement.
“Anambra’s excellence shines again on a global stage. The huge recognition was specifically for the success of the ‘Anambra Digital Tribe’ model.
“Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s administration’s has bold vision of building a one million digital tribe and positioning our youths as drivers of digital innovation and economic prosperity.
“Wins like this are not just mere validation of smart visions but a reward for our ambition of leading Nigeria’s digital future right from the home soil,” she said.
According to her, Anambra is building strongly on each block of opportunity and the Solution Innovation District is doing a fantastic job to get the state to where it wants to be.
“I’m happy for this global recognition. It’s a positive signal for startups and techies to believe in the great future right ahead.
“Anambra is rising! The future looks great,” she said. (NAN)
