Kaduna (Precise Post) – Kaduna State Government has announced the extension of the 24-hour curfew that is in force in Kauru and Zangon-Kataf Local Government Areas to Jema’a and Kaura LGAs with immediate effect.
Governor Nasir El’rufai who made the announcement said the decision became necessary as it will help contain violence, enforce order and protect lives. Adding that it came at the request of security agencies.
The governor disclosed this via his official twitter handle @GovKaduna.
The Kaduna state governor said that more security assets have been placed in southern Kaduna since 2017 when an army base was built in Kafanchan. “Troops from Operation Safe Haven and two mobile police squadrons are also deployed in the area. These boots on the ground need communities to resolve to live in peace.
