KANO – The Kano State government on Friday evening called on security agencies to arrest the former Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje over alleged plot to float a private militia
Addressing newsmen on the outcome of State Executive Council resolutions, the Commissioner for Information, and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya accused the immediate past governor of allegedly provoking banditry attacks on some communities .
Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya said “in less than 48 hours of former Governor Ganduje’s outburst of wanting to create a militia group in the state bandits infiltrated a Kano community and abduct several people.”
The Commissioner also accused Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin for making comments which incite bandits to attack some communities in the state.
Waiya stated that the state Government aligned with the current effort by Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tinubu to address insecurity across the land.
