The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida, yesterday, assured the West African Telecommunications Regulators Assembly (WATRA) of the Commission’s continued support in fulfilling its strategic role in shaping the regulation of the telecoms sector in the sub- region.
Maida who disclosed this in a statement released via official X account (formerly twitter) of the Commision @ncc.gov.ng said as stated time.
Engr. Aliyu Aboki, the Executive Secretary of the West Africa Telecommunications Regulators Assembly (WATRA) congratulated the EVC on his appointment. He also highlighted some key achievements of his tenure so far, including the development of an updated strategic plan for the Assembly which includes digital collaboration between member states, as well as the re-introduction of Guinea Bissau, Gambia and Niger into WATRA, among others.
