Abuja (Precise Post) – Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 371 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
The health agency in it’s report released via it’s twitter handle said that Lagos State, the epicentre of COVID-19 recorded 101 followed by Rivers with 54 infections while Anambra came third with 31 cases.
Others are: Ebonyi and Imo-23 each; Kwara-22;
Kano-20; Taraba-17; Akwa Ibom-16; FCT-15 while Abia and Kaduna recorded 13 each.
Other states where the infections were recorded are Osun-5; Edo and Oyo-4; 8; Kebbi-3 and Ogun-3 each; Ekiti-2; Nasarawa and
Zamfara-1 each.
The NCDC noted that the confirmed fresh cases have pushed total confirmed cases to 158,042 confirmed out of which of 137,025 patients have been treated and discharged from across various isolation facilities in Nigeria.
The agency regrettably announced that
1,954 lives have been lost to COVID-19 complications since the index case was reported on February 27, last year.
