ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general election and former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, has congratulated the Super Eagles for securing the third-place medal at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), praising the team’s fighting spirit and patriotic display.
In a congratulatory message released on his X handle on Saturday, Obi commended the national team for representing Nigeria with honour and determination throughout the tournament, noting that their performance reflected the values of perseverance and character.
According to him, the Super Eagles’ campaign serves as a reminder that progress, whether in sports or nation-building, is achieved through resilience and consistency.
“The nation is proud of you,” Obi said, describing the bronze-medal finish as a strong foundation for greater achievements in the future.
He urged the players to return home as victors and continue to soar high, assuring them of the pride and appreciation of Nigerians for their efforts on the continental stage.
