JOS – Mr Sunday Biggs, a governorship candidate of a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Plateau, says that the party is still a united front.
Biggs told newsmen on Friday in Jos that there were no two factions of the party.
Reports that Biggs was elected as the governorship candidate of the Saminu Turaki-led faction of the PDP.
“The Supreme Court judgment was clear.
“The interesting thing is that PDP is still one. We don’t have two PDPs because the issue has been settled by the Supreme Court of the land.
“It is just subject to the interpretation of INEC and legal experts; by the time that’s done, a decision will be taken. Either way, PDP is still in one.
“The fact that some people belong to the Turaki or Wike group does not mean we are divided.
“The party will eventually get over this phase. We will all come together to form a formidable force towards 2027,” he said.
Biggs promised to serve for one tenure, and declared that he would correct the wrongs of the current administration.
He regretted that the current administration had failed to meet the yearnings and aspirations of residents of the state, forcing him to seek for an opportunity to correct the ills. (NAN)
