Abuja (Precise Post) – House of Representatives on Monday expressed worry over the inability of the National Maritime Authourity (NIMASA) to give proper account of the management of the finance of the agency.
The Green Chamber disclosed this at the ongoing investigative hearing by the House Committee on public account.
The House lamented the deliberate and reckless refusal by non treasury and partially funded Agencies to render their audited accounts covering the period 2014 to 2018 to the Auditor General of the Federation.
House Committee on public account, National Assembly is set investigate the National Maritime Authourity (NIMASA) for it’s inability to account for funds and expenditure by the agency since 2012.
The House Committee led by Hon. Wole Oke therefore ordered that the agency should be placed on status inquiry, project and finance investigation.
