Resign After End Of Investigation – Former DSS Director Advises Magu

Abuja(Precise Post)- A former Assistant Director with the Department of State Services, Dennis Amachree, says he would have resigned if he were facing corruption allegations like the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu.

Amachree said this on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme on Tuesday.

He said based on the large number of allegations Magu is facing before a Presidential panel, it would be difficult for him to go scot-free.

The former DSS official, however, said even if Magu is found to be clean after the investigation, it would be best for him to still resign.

Amachree said he was surprised that Magu was retained by the President despite being rejected twice by the Senate.

He said the fact that the panel was sitting at the Presidential Villa showed that the President Muhammadu Buhari was behind the probe.

Amachree said, “If I was Magu and I go before this panel and they give me a clean bill that all the allegations against me are faulty, once I come out, what I would do is to resign.”
