Journalist Oseni Rufai has criticized Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike for his claims that his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, stole bedsheets, pillowcases, and cooking utensils from state facilities.
Oseni Rufai claims that during Rotimi Amaechi’s tenure as governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike served as Amaechi’s Chief of Staff. According to Oseni Rufai, when Nyesom Wike accused Rotimi Amaechi of stealing from the government mansion, he was also accusing himself.
Since Nyesom Wike served as Chief of Staff to Rotimi Amaechi, Oseni Rufai contended, any accusations Wike leveled against Amaechi would have consequences for Wike as well.
Oseni Rufai said that sometimes people are in such a rush to accuse others that they end up accusing themselves inadvertently. Don’t forget that Nyesom Wike blamed Rotimi Amaechi’s administration for stealing everything from the kitchen to the bedsheets and pillowcases on Thursday
