JALINGO (PRECISE POST)   –   Amidst alleged exclusion of over 7000 workers from the payroll of Taraba State after a recent screening exercise, Honourable Emmanuel Bello, the SA Media and Digital communication to the state governor on Friday assured that the State Governor Agbu Kefas is fully committed to providing gainful employment to youth of the State.

Bello states this during an interaction with The Sun in Jalingo.

He said that the concern that most of the people excluded from the payroll are genuine workers have reached the governor who has already directed that the right thing should be done.

Bello said that the governor is watching with eagle eye to ensure that why ghost workers are expunged from the payroll, they should not also be replaced by other ghost workers.

He maintained that the governor is already collaborating with private investors to create more jobs for the teeming youth of the State and will not do anything to jeopardise the existing jobs of the people.

“Gov Kefas is committed to transparent employment into the state civil service- free employment that will touch everyone. Not just those who can pay or have connections. But, first, all ghosts workers must be properly dealt with. Gov Kefas is also carefully watching the act of replacing old ghost workers with new ghost workers. His eagle eyes are watching and the sanitation exercise is on. Accountability and transparency is the new spirit” Bello said.

He urged those genuinely affected by the recent biometric exercise to be patient as the governor has directed urgent measures to ameliorate their challenges, while ensuring that the aim of the exercise is also not defeated.
