Tinubu Appoints Louis Odion, Ummusalma Rabiu as FCCPC Executive Commissioners

ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  –    President Bola Tinubu has appointed Louis Odion and Ummusalma Isiyaku Rabiu for key leadership roles in the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

The announcement was contained in a statemrnt announced by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga on Wednesday.

Odion has been tapped to serve as Executive Commissioner for Operations, while Rabiu has been nominated as Executive Commissioner for Corporate Services. Their appointments are subject to confirmation by the Senate, in line with the provisions of the FCCPC Act, 2018.

 

A veteran journalist and public affairs expert, Odion hails from Edo State and previously served as Senior Technical Assistant on Media to former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. He was also Commissioner for Information in Edo State. He holds master’s degrees in Modern War Studies from the University of Buckingham, UK, and International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.

Rabiu, 35, from Kano State, is the founder of the Usir Foundation, a non-profit organisation focused on education, skills development, and humanitarian support for underprivileged communities. A graduate in Business Administration, she is a grassroots politician known for her advocacy on youth and women’s political participation and inclusive governance.
