Favour, 20, died while receiving medical treatment for the consumption of insecticide after recording a video in which she accused Ifeanyi Ogbonna, a content creator known as Odogwu of Asaba, of sexually assaulting her.

In an interview with BBC Pidgin, Faith described the close bond she shared with her twin sister despite attending different schools.

“I dey miss a lot of things about my sister. I miss how we quarrel a lot. How we fight. How we go out together. How she makes sure that I’m okay. How she plans our birthday. Because she’s the only one planning our birthday. I don’t really like planning things or going out,” she said.

“Even though we were separated because of school, we were still close. She was the kind of person that defends me, and she’s my friend. Even when I don’t have any friends, she’s my friend, a person that I can rely on.”

Faith noted that she did not see her sister in person when Favour returned from Asaba, as she was away at school.

However, she observed a change in her sister’s emotional state during phone conversations leading up to the incident.

“So, there wasn’t any physical meet-up between me and my sister. But I knew there were changes because her emotions and everything were different when I was speaking to her on the phone. I’m missing a lot about my sister,” she said.

“She has made me learn a lot of things. She has made me learn that I should not keep quiet. No matter what, I should always speak out because I’m a very quiet person. I don’t like talking; I don’t speak out. She made me learn how to speak up for myself and makes sure that nobody intimidates me.

Faith also revealed that Favour had informed her she was travelling to Asaba but declined to disclose who she was going to see or the reason for the trip.

She also addressed social media speculation suggesting the case was fabricated for content creation, dismissing such claims.

“She actually told me that she was going to Asaba. She tell me say she dey go Asaba, and I asked her: who you dey go meet for Asaba? And why you dey go Asaba? I asked her these two questions,” she said.

“But she no gree tell me why she dey go Asaba or the pesin wey she dey go meet for Asaba. There have been so many comments, videos going around on social media about what is happening.

“They are saying what is happening is content. It is not content. It is not fake. It is real. This matter did not start this month. It started last month, June 2026. It was only delayed because of the petition we wrote to the commissioner of police, and it was not approved on time. That was why it was delayed until this month.”
