UDUTH moves to investigate alleged misconduct

The mother of the new baby who alleged that a nursing officer working with the Usmanu Danfodiyo Teaching (UDUTH), Sokoto caused injury to her baby has petitioned the management.

The formal letter of complaint is said to have been received by the management.

The Principal Information Officer, Mansur Wadata who in a statement made available to reporters, confirmed receipt of the letter said the management was investigating the matter to authenticate the claim.

Wadata said: “We wish to state and assure the general public that appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against whoever is found wanting in accordance with civil service rules and condition of service of the hospital.”

The hospital management, according to the statement said: “UDUTH is ever ready to work with relevant investigative authorities in carrying out a full-scale investigation to ensure that those involved are made to face the full wrath of the law.
