JALINGO (PRECISE POST) – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has decleared Alhaji Muktar Galadima the winner of the Party”s primaries for Wukari/Ibi Federal constituency.
Mr Nuhu Agbu, the PDP Returning Officer who affirmed Galadima as the sole canddate for the contest said that his emergence was in compliance with the PDP constitution and guidelines.
Our Correspondent reports that the PDP conducted its primary election in the 20 council wards of Wukari and Ibi Federal constituency.
The returning officer, while announcing the affirmation, said that the exercise was inline with the party’s constitutional guidelines and procedures.
He said that the PDP leadership in Wukari and Ibi ensured that due process was strictly followed.
‘ The Chairmen of all the 20 wards across the constituency 10 wards in Wukari and 10 wards in Ibi alongside the designated Returning Officers, visited each ward to consult party members and stakeholders.
“At every ward, loyal PDP members unanimously affirmed and endorsed Hon. Mukhtar Usman Galadima as their preferred candidate to represent the party in the forthcoming general election.
“Subsequently, the PDP leadership of Wukari/Ibi formally presents the collated results and documented endorsements before the leadership of the party in the state.
” The exercise was conducted in the presence of representatives of INEC and other relevant authorities, in full compliance with electoral guidelines.
“Hon. Mukhtar Usman Galadima is officially declared as the winner and PDP candidate for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency,” Agbu added.
In his acceptance remarks, Galadima expressed profound gratitude and described the day as one of the happiest moments of his life.
He further urged the people of Wukari and Ibi to ensure they obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) alongside their families, emphasizing that voter participation remained key to achieving collective political aspirations.
Our Correspondent reports that a cross section of party leaders expressed appreciation for the peaceful and transparent process.
They reaffirmed their total support for the candidate and wishing him victory in the forthcoming general elections.
