LAGOS (PRECISE POST)  — The land of aquatic splendeour stood still that evening of warmth, wit, and well-earned reverence on Friday night as media titan Uncle Sam Amuka-Pemu marked his 90th birthday in grand style, surrounded by political heavyweights, media icons, and national figures.

The Special Adviser (Information and Strategy) to the President,  Bayo Onanuga stated this when he took to his X handle on Saturday .

According to him, in a moment that caught many by pleasant surprise, former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi shared a warm handshake and light conversation—“no bitterness, just good vibes”—with fellow attendees, showing a spirit of grace and camaraderie.

Prince Nduka Obaigbena, Chairman of THISDAY/ARISE Media Group, kept the mood light with his trademark banter and charisma, drawing laughter from guests throughout the evening.

A poignant third photo from the event captured a respectful tribute to the celebrant himself, Uncle Sam Amuka-Pemu, seated beside the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris.

In another standout moment, Prince Obaigbena was seen in jovial company with Aremo Segun Osoba, veteran journalist and former governor of Ogun State, and Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission.

The event radiated a spirit of celebration, unity, and legacy, honoring a man who has shaped Nigerian journalism for decades and continues to inspire across generations.
