Abuja (Precise Post) – The Chairman of ECOWAS-led delegation to China on Peace mission, Goodluck Jonathan has said that his team yesterday visited the Malian President His Excellency Ibrahim Boubacar Keita and former President His Excellency Dioncounda Traore in Bamako.
Jonathan, who confirmed the meeting in a statement released through his facebook page on Friday, said he was encouraged with the optimism they are getting from Malian elders and statesmen and their explicit trust in their mediation.

Adding that, the search for sustainable peace in Mali is a task that must be accomplished.
The statement reads in full:
“We continued our consultation on Friday with a visit to Malian President His Excellency Ibrahim Boubacar Keita and former President His Excellency Dioncounda Traore in Bamako.
“I am encouraged with the optimism we are getting from Malian elders and statesmen and their explicit trust in our mediation.

“The search for sustainable peace in Mali is a task that must be accomplished.
