ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  –   The Nigerian Senate on Thursday, October 30, 2025, confirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s nominee, Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro, as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, following a rigorous screening session.

Dr. Doro, who was accompanied by the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, and several prominent political figures—particularly from Plateau State—is a Nigerian-born professional pharmacist, lawyer, and advanced clinical practitioner. He hails from Kwali in Plateau State and is currently based in the United Kingdom.

During the screening, senators questioned Dr. Doro on how he intended to apply his diverse expertise to promote national growth and development. The session featured detailed cross-examinations led by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, along with contributions from Senator Abdul Ningi and Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin.

After due deliberation, the Senate unanimously confirmed Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro’s appointment as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In his remarks, Senate President Akpabio congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his choice, stating, “We commend the President for searching for our sons abroad and bringing them back home to serve the nation.”
