ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Kingsley Moghalu, has praised Peter Mbah for what he described as significant progress in the development and transformation of Enugu State.
Moghalu disclosed this on his X handle account on Wednesday after meeting with Governor Mbah at the Government House in Enugu, where both leaders discussed ongoing efforts to reposition the state economically and institutionally.
According to him, Enugu occupies a strategic place in the history and politics of Southeastern Nigeria, making rapid development in the state both necessary and urgent.
He noted that Enugu served as the capital of the old Eastern Region before 1967 and later became the capital of the former East Central State between 1967 and 1976 before the creation of more states in Nigeria.
Moghalu commended Governor Mbah for prioritizing strong institutions and knowledge-driven governance as key foundations for sustainable development.
He further congratulated the governor on what he described as notable achievements in governance and economic development, expressing optimism that the administration would continue to record greater successes.
