Nigerian music queen Tiwa Savage has officially accepted a boxing challenge from fellow singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni.
Teni threw the first punch online after sharing a video on Instagram where she directly called out Tiwa Savage for a celebrity boxing showdown.
In the caption, Teni wrote in her signature playful style: “Mama!!! Make we fight @tiwasavage. 3 billion later, I go apologise for outside the boxing ring.”
Tiwa Savage didn’t waste time. The Afrobeats superstar and “Somebody’s Son” hitmaker responded with a short but fearless reply: *“Pick a date.”*
The exchange has since set social media on fire, with fans of both singers buzzing about a possible Tiwa vs Teni boxing match.
While Teni’s challenge came with humor, Tiwa’s response shows she is ready to step into the ring if Teni is serious.
This comes barely 72 hours after BBNaija star Phyna defeated Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing in a celebrity boxing bout that trended heavily online. That fight has reignited interest in celebrity boxing in Nigeria, and Teni’s call-out to Tiwa is already being seen as the next big showdown.
For now, the ball is in Teni’s court after Tiwa told her to pick a date for the fight.
Will it happen? Fans are waiting.
