ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has mocked those who predicted violence and chaos ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Kaduna State, declaring that the event recorded a massive turnout and ended peacefully.
Sani, in a statement posted on his Facebook page on Saturday, said the peaceful conduct of the rally should disappoint those who had predicted an apocalypse or a breakdown of law and order.
“We are done with the Kaduna rally. Massive turnout and peaceful. Those who predicted doom, apocalypse or chaos should be disappointed by now,” he said.
The former lawmaker commended residents of Northern and Southern Kaduna, as well as participants who travelled from other states to attend the rally.
He expressed confidence that the people of Kaduna State would continue to reject ethnic vigilantes, sectional interests and religious extremists, whom he accused of promoting hatred and violence.
“We are confident that our people will always reject ethnic vigilantes, sectional and religious extremists and their lackeys and poodles, whose hearts are full of hate and passion for violence,” Sani added.
Precise Post recalls that his remarks followed the APC rally in Kaduna, which he described as peaceful despite earlier predictions of possible disorder.
