Abuja (Precise Post) – The federal agency in charge of COVID-19 in the largest country in African, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said that 126 new cases of the novel virus were confirmed on Friday in Nigeria.
These 126 cases were recorded from 12 states including the FCT as follows;
Lagos-62
Rivers-22
Ogun-9
Plateau-7
FCT-7
Osun-5
Kwara-5
Taraba-3
Bayelsa-2
Abia-2
Zamfara-1
Imo-1
This report released by the NCDC via it’s twitter handle account further informed that total number of persons that have tested positive for COVID-19 is now 59,127 and that 50,593 have been discharged.
Also, NCDC reported that 1,112 lives have been lost to COVID-19 since the index case in February 27 2020.
