Abuja (Precise Post) – The CEO and owner of Hot Coal basketball club, Mr. Ubon Udoh has praised the leadership of qualities Of Mr. Igoche Mark on his quest to revive the basketball league, an action that will give home based players enough game time.
Udoh made the remarks at the sidelines while speaking to journalists at dunk off of the Men’s Mark D Ball Basketball Championship on Sunday at the MKO Abiola stadium,Abuja.
“It is a high level of basketball been played right now and it is exciting and looking really good. I love the facts that players are given the opportunity to play. I’m really excited.
Basketball for these kids means a lot to them. It is important because this is what they do. Most of them use this to sustain their families, some put themselves through school with this game.
Most of the club owners we give scholarships. For me every kids in my team are on academy scholarship to universities or to learn some skills. We want to do things differently and make sure some benefits come to these kids and those who have more talent can travel outside the country to professionally or get scholarships into big schools. But while we are here we need to do all we can to get back this kids to play.
As it is now for everyone trying to cause in fighting to stop the growth of basketball in Nigeria. My advice is for everyone lay their alms. Let’s do what is best in the interest of basketball. We need to think above the game.
It has stagnated for alot of years because of infighting. It is really unfair to the spectators, stakeholders. It is unfair to players. We need to focus on thing, the development of the game, improving the lives these young men and women. Playing is the only thing that will make us move forward”. He stated.”Udoh stated.
