Washington (Precise Post) – United States President, Donald Trump has reacted after Iranian government launched missiles at the U.S military base in Iran in retaliation to the killing of its top commander, General Qassem Soleimani.
Recall that Maj.-Gen. Soleimani, Commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, was killed in a US airstrike on his convoy at Baghdad airport on Friday.
Trump who assured that all is well, said that assessment of casualties and damages are taking place now, adding that he will be making a statement tomorrow morning.
President Trump disclosed this when he took to his tweeter handle @realDonaldTrump said: All is well! Missiles launched from Iran at two military bases located in Iraq. Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good! We have the most powerful and well equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning.
Further recall that shortly after the airstrike that killed the Iranian top commander, President Trump said in a tweet that “General Qassem Soleimani has killed or badly wounded thousands of Americans over an extended period of time, and was plotting to kill many more…but got caught! He was directly and indirectly responsible for the death of millions of people, including the recent large number of PROTESTERS killed in Iran itself. While Iran will never be able to properly admit it, Soleimani was both hated and feared within the country. They are not nearly as saddened as the leaders will let the outside world believe. He should have been taken out many years ago.”
