Abuja (Precise Post) – President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the President of the Republic of Niger, President Issoufou for a successful completion of his second term as president.
Buhari who described Issoufou as a worthy African leader, also hailed him for winning the 2020 Mo Ibrahim Prize for Achievement in African Leadership.
The Nigerian President also commended the good people of Niger Republic for the successful conduct of a free, fair and credible election.
He gave the commendation when he took to his personal twitter handle account @MBuhari and tweeted thus:
“Yesterday I hosted President @IssoufouMhm at the State House. I congratulated him on the successful completion of his second term as President of our sister country, the Republic of Niger, and the good people of Niger for the successful conduct of a free,fair & credible election.
“I also congratulated him for winning the 2020 Mo Ibrahim Prize for Achievement in African Leadership. President Issoufou is a worthy African leader who has earned the respect and affection of his people at home and his brethren across the border in Nigeria.”
Precise Post recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari was yesterday bestowed with the highest national award of Niger Republic – Grand Croix Des Ordre National Du Niger by President Issoufou who visited him in Aso Villa.
