COVID-19 Update: NCDC Confirms 1,145 New Cases, Total Now 76,207

Abuja (Precise Post) – The latest report released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has it that 1,145 were confirmed on Thursday. This it said, has brought the total to 76, 207.

The figure which is the highest of its kind since the of the pandemic in the country in February 27, was recorded from 24 states including the FCT.

The health agency reported that Lagos State – the epicentre of the infection recorded 459 cases while FCT, Kaduna and Plateau recorded 145, 138 and 80 respectively.

Others are: Katsina-70, Gombe-52, Niger-31,
Kano-23, Bayelsa-21, Bauchi and Ondo-18 each,
Rivers-17, Ogun and Oyo-12 each, Edo and Nasarawa-8 each, Ebonyi-7, Osun-6, Ekiti and
Kebbi-5, Borno-4, Jigawa-3, Akwa Ibom-2 and
Anambra-1.

According to the report released via it’s twitter handle, the further revealed that 67,110 patients have been treated and discharged from across the various facilities in Nigeria.

It also reported that 1,201 lives have been lost to related complications and gave the breakdown of total as follows:
