ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The House of Representatives extends its warm greetings to the Muslim faithful across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, a sacred occasion marking the completion of Ramadan – a month dedicated to fasting, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
Eid-el-Fitr is more than a celebration; it is a reaffirmation of the values of faith, humility, and service to others. It is a time to strengthen bonds within communities, extend kindness to neighbours, and support the less privileged in the spirit of unity and compassion, the statement releaed by the Spokesman, House of Representatives, Rep. Akin Rotimi, Jr. Said on Sunday
At a time when our nation seeks deeper unity and progress, the virtues exemplified during Ramadan should continue to guide us in fostering peace, understanding, and collective prosperity.
In his congratulatory message to Nigerian Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON, urged them to continue to pray for the country and its leaders.
“It is a double fortune for Nigeria and the world as a whole, as Muslims observed Ramadan and Christians observed the Lent about the same time,” he stated, while praying to Allah (SWT) to accept the prayers and supplications offered during the fasting season.
Speaker Abbas encouraged the faithful to continue upholding the virtues of the Holy Month – piety, sacrifice, charity, and discipline – while emphasising the importance of being one another’s keeper and maintaining peace and order in society.
The House of Representatives wishes all Muslim faithful a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr. May this celebration bring joy to every home, blessings to every family, and a sense of unity and progress for our beloved nation.
Eid Mubarak!
