Veteran Nollywood star and minister of the gospel, Eucharia Anunobi, has issued a fiery warning to Christians considering marriage with partners who don’t share their faith.
In a passionate video shared on Instagram, the actress-turned-preacher described such unions as a “weapon of self-destruction,” insisting that physical attraction and romance can never sustain a marriage without a shared spiritual foundation.
“How can a man or woman of God even consider marrying an unbeliever—someone who is spiritually impotent? You’re literally bringing the weapon that will destroy you,” she said.
Anunobi likened the decision to “picking up a ticking time bomb,” stressing that kisses and cuddles cannot replace spiritual alignment.
“Those hugs and caresses may feel good now, but they can’t make your marriage sweet. If you ignore faith, misery will follow,” she warned, adding that some Christians already compromise their values behind closed doors while claiming to serve in ministry.
Her blunt message quickly sparked debate online, with many applauding her boldness while others argued that love can bridge religious differences.
