Fenerbahce Faces Setback as Okereke Finds the Back of the Net

by Arabella Zikora

Nigeria forward David Okereke was on target in Gaziantep’s 3-1 loss to Fenerbahce on Monday night.

Okereke cancelled Oguz Aydin’s opening goal for the hosts four minutes before the break.

The forward fired home from inside the box after chipping the ball over the advancing goalkeeper.

It was the former Nigeria U-23 international’s third goal of the season for Gaziantep.

Rodrigo Becao and Edin Dzeko scored two late goals for Fenerbahce to win the game.

Okereke’s compatriot, Bright Osayi-Samuel was in action for Fenerbahce in the game.
