ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  –   Suspects arrested in connection with the gruesome killings in Yelwata, Benue State, will be arraigned on Monday, February 2, following what authorities describe as a painstaking investigation.

The suspects will appear before Justice Joyce Abdul-Malik at the Federal High Court, Abuja, to answer charges linked to the violent attack that shocked the community.

This was contained in a statement signed by   Kamarudeen Ogundele, ANIPR, the Special Adviser to the President (Communication & Publicity), Office of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice dated February 1, 2026.

Precise Post recalls that Government sources say the arrests were the result of extensive inter-agency collaboration, leading to strong evidence linking the suspects to the crime.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice assured Nigerians that justice would be pursued without compromise.

The statement stressed that the prosecution is intended to send a strong warning to enemies of the country, regardless of the guise under which they operate.

The administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the statement added, remains fully committed to the protection of lives and property, in line with constitutional provisions.
