Health Minister Commissions Three Transformative Healthcare Projects in Akwa Ibom

ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, on Saturday commissioned three transformative healthcare projects in Akwa Ibom State.

These health-enhancing projects are the Akwa Ibom State Medical Oxygen Production Plant (AKSMOPP), the Model Primary Health Centre (Base), and the Akwa Ibom State Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System (AKISEMSAS).

Governor Eno Umo of Akwa Ibom state who disclosed this on his verified X account, said that these facilities will strengthen healthcare system in the state, improve emergency response, and ensure quality medical services for all.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the ARISE Agenda, emphasizing that they are not just building infrastructure but also expanding access to quality healthcare and enhancing medical insurance to position Akwa Ibom as a medical tourism hub.

He sincerely appreciated Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate’s support and kind words of commendation and also thanked the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum (Gas), Obongemem Ekperikpe Ekpo, for his presence and solidarity.

Also not left out for special thanks is the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Emmanuel Ekem John, and his dedicated team for their hard work in making these projects a reality.

The Governor thanked the people of Akwa Ibom for their unwavering support, stressing that together, we are building a healthier, stronger state. Let’s keep rising he added.
