The incident sparked reactions online, with some people defending the lady, saying the use of first names is common in the corporate world, while others criticised her for failing to consider cultural norms as a Nigerian.
Reacting to the incident via Facebook, Success offered the UBA graduate N500,000 in financial support and an ambassadorial role with the Delta Social Media Summit.
He also offered to cover her flight, five-star accommodation and other expenses for the summit in Asaba, Delta State.
Success said the lady made a mistake but should not be subjected to continued online criticism, adding that he wanted to support her and give her an opportunity to share her story.
“I’m offering the UBA girl support of 500k and ambassadorial deal with Delta social media summit. To the UBA young lady that was in the news; I’m offering you ₦500,000 cash + a complimentary VIP trip to the Delta Social Media Summit 4th Edition holding on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at the Mariam Babagida Leisure Park Opp Denise Osadebey University in Asaba, Delta State,” he wrote.
“Package includes: ₦500,000 cash support, flight tickets to Asaba, 5-Star hotel accommodation, guided tour of developmental projects in Delta state.

“VIP access to the summit on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Mariam Babangida Leisure Park, Opposite Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, brand Ambassador Role for Delta Social Media Summit – an annual platform.
“I know the internet can be harsh. Depression is real and words cut deep. She made a mistake but we don’t need to torment her daily, she needs our support.

“I will give her a good time and a platform to tell her story. Let’s turn this pain into purpose. She won’t be disappointed.”
However, Success’ offer has also sparked backlash, with some users accusing him of rewarding what they described as “disrespect”.
In another post, he defended the act, saying the young woman deserves support despite the backlash, stressing that harsh online criticism could negatively affect her mental well-being.
“I am disappointed in you people for being disappointed with my offer to the UBA girl. The young girl deserves all the support in any way,” he wrote.
