Police Track Stolen Vehicle From Abuja Church, Recover More in Niger

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command says its operatives have successfully tracked and recovered vehicles stolen from Abuja.

A statement by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh said a vehicle belonging to one Onyeka Vincent was stolen while parked outside Saint Louis Catholic Church in Byazhin area of the territory on Sunday.

She said upon the receipt of the report, prompt investigative efforts led officers of the command to Suleja, Niger State “where they found the stolen vehicle in the possession of 45-year-old Evans Omagba”.

The PPRO stated that during questioning, Omagba “confessed to the theft and revealed that he had acted with the help of three accomplices who are still at large”.

According to Josephine, police recovered two more stolen vehicles from Omagba, “highlighting the ongoing challenge of vehicle theft in the area”.
