Abuja (Precise Post) – Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the use of “military option” in response to the activities of Eastern Security Network (ESN) and “negotiation and contemplation of amnesty” for the killer kidnappers and terrorists in the north.
Fani-Kayode who described the use of ‘federal might’ for a group and ‘pampering’ for another group may lead to the break up of Nigeria if it does not stop.

He disclosed this when he took to his twitter handle and tweeted thus:
“Helicopter gun ships raining bullets down the forests of Orlu but Fed. Govt. officials are negotiating with those in the north and giving them money to purchase more weapons. This is unacceptable and it will lead to the break up of Nigeria if it does not stop! God is not mocked!”
Recall that Vanguard on Thursday reported that there was tension in Imo as military conducts air strikes to dislodge Eastern Security Network.
It reported that hundreds of military operatives launched heavy attacks on the camps of the Eastern Security Network, (ESN), in some parts of the forest in Orlu and Orsu local government areas of Imo state.
Vanguard investigation into the clashes was told that the military launched the attacks on hearing that the members of the Eastern Security Network, (ESN), had set up a base in the forest from where they would execute their operations.
Residents of the affected areas said to Vanguard that the military started with a show of force.
Precise Post recalls that the Imo state governor has stated that he invited soldiers in Orlu to restore calm in the area after members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), killed several policemen and innocent citizens in the area.
Uzodinma insisted that his administration would not yield to pressure from those calling for withdrawal of soldiers from the crisis-ridden area.
There has not been any reported case of negotiation with the ESN to lay down their arms.
Further recall that the government of Kaduna state, Niger State and their counterpart in Zamfara had at different times quoted to have negotiated with the dreaded kidnappers with the view to getting them lay down their arms.
Recall that that the Islamic scholar, Sheik Ahmad Gumi had met with the kidnappers of Kagara students where they Listed their demands for peace deal during a reconciliation meeting with Islamic scholar, Sheik Ahmad Gumi.

Similarly, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi visited Tagina forest and met with bandits group leader, Dogo Gide and his fighters on Thursday.
The Islamic scholar had met with the kidnappers of Kagara students where they Listed their demands for peace deal during a reconciliation meeting.

Gumi came under intense criticism last week after advocating for amnesty for the criminals carrying out kidnappings and banditry in the different parts of Northern Nigeria.
