ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has embarked on a strategic engagement with global technology, healthcare and academic institutions in Silicon Valley, United States, as part of efforts to position the state as a smart, prosperous and globally competitive economy.
Soludo, who disclosed this in a statement on his X handle Saturday, said his engagements were focused on building partnerships that would accelerate technological innovation, healthcare development, human capital development and research in Anambra.
According to him, the mission is anchored on the state’s ADTS vision — Africa, Dubai, Taiwan and Silicon Valley — aimed at learning from leading global ecosystems, building strategic partnerships and adapting international best practices to Anambra’s development priorities.
The governor said he held engagements with Varian, NVIDIA and San José State University, focusing on practical areas of collaboration in advanced healthcare, artificial intelligence, talent development, research and innovation.
He described the areas as critical building blocks for the future being deliberately created through the Solution Innovation District and the state’s broader human capital development agenda.
Soludo said the state government’s objective was to position Anambra as a hub for knowledge, enterprise and opportunity while strengthening institutions and equipping citizens with skills required to thrive in the future economy.
“Our goal is clear: to position Anambra as a hub for knowledge, enterprise, and opportunity; strengthen our institutions; empower our people with future-ready skills; and bring global opportunities home,” he said.
He added that the state’s development strategy was designed to combine global knowledge with local action in order to make Anambra more competitive internationally.
“That is how we build an Anambra that learns globally, grows locally, and competes confidently with the world,” Soludo said.
The governor expressed optimism about the state’s future, declaring: “May Anambra continue to win!”
