ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – In a shocking move to redeem the party’s image ahead of 2027 general election, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday announced the expulsion of several high-profile members, including former Rivers State Governor and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN), former Ekiti Governor Ayo Fayose, and Hon. Austin Nwachukwu, over alleged anti-party activities.
The dramatic decision was declared at the party’s ongoing 2025 National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State, and reportedly ratified by an overwhelming majority of delegates.
Party officials said the move was part of a sweeping effort to restore unity, discipline, and strategic focus as the PDP positions itself ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Precise Post recalls that Wike has boasted severally that there is nobody in the party that has the capacity to expel him from the PDP.
