Nigeria’s president elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has given Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State the shocker of his life when he turned down his request for refund of the cost of constructing federal roads in the state by his administration.
Precise Post recalls that Tinubu was in Rivers state on Wednesday in the company of other dignitaries, including the speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Gov of Imo State, Gov Hope Uzodinma and many others, to commission some completed projects, executed by Gov Wike’s administration.
However, during the commissioning, Gov Wike made a request to the President elect, that the Rivers state Govt be refunded for the federal projects they have completed In the state.
Replying, Tinubu told him that he owes him nothing. This reply from Tinubu has generated a lot of reactions and comments from Nigerians online.
Reacting to it, Arise TV presenter, Oseni rufai released a statement via his twitter handle, where he jokingly mocked Gov Wike for the reply Tinubu gave him. Oseni Rufai said;
“That moment when you declare public holiday and they tell you they owe you nothing.Feels like your dream girl friend zoning you”. Adding that it is 1-0.
Recall that Wike, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supported the All Progressives Congress to win the presidential election in the state.
