ABUJA FCT – Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Tajudeen Abbas has commended President Bola Tinubu for approving the Federal College of Education (FCE), Zaria’s upgrade to Federal University of Education, demonstrating his commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s education system.
The commendation was contained in a statement released by Speaker Abbas on his official X account on Thursday.
He therefore congratulated Kaduna State’s residents, Governor Uba Sani, and the Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, on this achievement.
According to him, the President’s courageous decision merits recognition, stressing that this development will increase university access, particularly for those pursuing teaching and education careers.
The Speaker extended warm regards to the former FCE community, including the governing council and acting Vice Chancellor, Dr. Suleiman Balarabe.
He further expressed gratitude to stakeholders whose persistence made this upgrade possible and encouraged citizens to leverage this opportunity to pursue higher education.
