Ruma Sha’aibu, a 23-year-old housewife, has been reportedly found deceased in a pool of blood at her Farawa residence, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State.
The discovery of her body had sent many residents in the area into confusion as the late housewife was said to be a peace-loving woman.
Her husband, Ibrahim Muhammad, said on that very day, he left his wife at home and that as usual, they communicated whenever he went out, adding that when he called her number and it wasn’t going through, he became apprehensive and asked his neighbour to help him check on her.
He said, ‘’When the neighbour reported that there was no response, I abandoned what I was doing and rushed back home only to find my wife dead with her throat cut.
‘’I called my relatives and her own relatives and later the police were informed as well.
‘’She was taken to the hospital where a doctor confirmed her dead and after all details of her death were taken by the relevant authorities, she was laid to rest.’’
Ruma’s mother, Malama Lami Shu’aibu, said her daughter was a peace-loving person and called on the authorities to fish out her killers.
It is suspected that the late Ruma was killed by phone thieves as her mobile phone was missing when her body was found.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed the incident, saying the command is investigating the incident and that the culprits will be caught.
