ABUJA – Minister of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani has assured that his ministry will be engaging the technology innovation ecosystem over the coming weeks to explore ways to design and apply technological solutions in the livestock, dairy production and other associated sectors in line with President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.
Tijani stated this on Tuesday shortly after the inauguration of the Presidential Committee on the Implementation of Livestock Reforms by President Tinubu.
The Minister who stated this when he took to his X account, said the ministry’s belief is that with the strength of their innovation ecosystem, they will stimulate economic growth through increased agrictultural productivity.
Precise Post recalls that President Tinubu announced the creation of the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development on Tuesday.
He disclosed this while inaugurating the Presidential Committee on Livestock Reforms at the Council Chamber in the State House in Abuja.
The Committee is to be chaired by the President, with the former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (EFCC), Attahiru Jega, as the Deputy Chairman.
The Committee is expected to propose recommendations aimed at fostering a peaceful co-existence between herders and farmers while ensuring the security and economic well-being of all Nigerians.
