ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – PRECISE POST can authoritatively report that human capital development features prominently in the 2026 budget, with ₦3.52 trillion allocated to education and ₦2.48 trillion to health.
President Bola Tinubu said no nation can grow beyond the quality of its people, stressing that education and healthcare are central to economic transformation.
President Tinubu who made the declaration on Friday when presenting the 2026 budget to the jointh session of the 10th National Assembly, also revealed that over 418,000 students have already benefited from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund in partnership with 229 tertiary institutions.
In the health sector, the President highlighted new international support, including over $500 million in grant funding secured through engagements with the United States.
Healthcare spending, he noted, represents six per cent of the total budget size net of liabilities, with assurances that funds will be deployed transparently and effectively.
