ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – In a major political development, Professor Muhammad Sani Bello, popularly known as Mainan Zazzau, has formally resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Prof. Bello is a prominent political figure in Kaduna State, having previously served as Commissioner of Education and Commissioner of Information.
Precise Post recalls that he also played a key strategic role in the 2023 general elections as Director-General of the Uba Sani Campaign Council.
According to the statement released on the X account (formerly twitter) of @ADCVanguard on Friday, signed by A.Y Bomo, shortly after his defection, the ADC announced Prof. Bello’s appointment as a member of its Constitutional Review Committee, a move widely seen as strengthening the party’s intellectual depth and policy direction.
Party insiders describe his entry into the ADC as a significant political gain, expected to bolster the party’s reform agenda and broaden its appeal ahead of future electoral contests.
