Former Nigerian minister says ex-U.S. president mesmerised global audience with facts, clarity, and record of achievements
ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK), has delivered a glowing assessment of former United States President Donald Trump’s recent address at the World Economic Forum in Davos, describing it as a performance that eclipsed all others and left world leaders in its wake.
In remarks shared on his X handle on Wednesday, Fani-Kayode said he had believed that the speech delivered by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney at Davos would be the benchmark for the forum, until Trump “blew them all away” with what he described as an extraordinary display of confidence, clarity, and command of facts.
According to FFK, Trump spoke for one hour and twelve minutes, during which he highlighted his achievements across both domestic and foreign policy, while addressing European leaders with unusual candour. He noted that the U.S president demonstrated a rare ability to hold his audience spellbound, backing his arguments with detailed facts and figures.
“Simply put, he was absolutely brilliant,” Fani-Kayode said, stressing that Trump’s delivery and substance set him apart from other speakers at the global gathering.
One aspect of the speech that drew particular relief, FFK noted, was Trump’s assurance that the United States would not seek to take Greenland by force, a statement he described as especially reassuring amid heightened global tensions.
While making it clear that he does not support or endorse many of Trump’s actions or their impact on the world, Fani-Kayode nonetheless acknowledged the president’s political effectiveness.
“Love him or hate him,” he said, “few come close to this man, and fewer can match his record of performance for his people.”
Fani-Kayode concluded that, judged purely on results and delivery, Trump has stayed true to his long-standing campaign mantra, asserting that there is “no doubt” the former U.S. leader is making America great again.
The remarks have since sparked debate online, with supporters praising Trump’s leadership style and critics questioning the broader global consequences of his policies, once again underscoring the polarising but undeniable impact of Donald Trump on the world stage.
