OYO (PRECISE POST) – The Oyo State Government has taken decisive action against a suspected criminal network by demolishing a building allegedly used to detain Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, sister of former Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu, and her 12-year-old twin sons.

The structure was pulled down on Monday morning, less than 48 hours after the victims were rescued in a security operation, as authorities moved to reinforce what they described as a zero-tolerance approach to kidnapping and violent crime in the state.

According to officials, the demolition was carried out by the Ministry of Lands and Housing in collaboration with security agencies after intelligence reports linked the building to the gang responsible for the abduction.

The victims were kidnapped on June 3 at Elewura along Ring Road in Ibadan while Mrs. John-Paul was taking her children, Peter and Paul, to school.

Their rescue was achieved through a coordinated operation by the Nigeria Police Force, during which two suspected kidnappers were killed and several others arrested.

Following the operation, investigators reportedly traced the building to one of the locations where the victims were held during their captivity, prompting its demolition as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal hideouts across the state.
