ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  –   African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has unveiled a citizen-engagement platform, Ask AA, to enable Nigerians to question him directly on his political record, policy agenda and plans for the country.

The platform, which is scheduled to go live at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026, will provide free access for citizens to ask questions on critical national issues, including the economy, security, technology, job creation and measures to make life more affordable.

The initiative was announced in a statement signed by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication, ADC Presidential Campaign Council, on Thursday.

According to the statement, Atiku will personally respond to questions submitted through the portal, with members of his media team also assisting in providing answers.

The platform is designed to bridge the information gap between the presidential candidate and voters by providing citizens with direct access to his positions, policy proposals and plans for national development.

Shaibu said the initiative was aimed at bringing Atiku closer to Nigerians through a technology-driven platform focused on dialogue and practical solutions to the country’s challenges.

“The objective of this initiative is to bring Atiku Abubakar closer to the electorate through a practical, problem-solving platform,” he said. He added that the initiative reflected Atiku’s commitment to deploying modern technology to make governance more efficient, secure and effective.

To accommodate Nigerians in communities without internet access, the campaign council plans to extend the platform’s reach through a radio interface.

In announcing the initiative on his social media accounts, Atiku said the platform was conceived on the conviction that “leadership is a two-way conversation.” He argued that governance had for too long appeared distant from ordinary citizens, stressing the need to dismantle barriers between leaders and the people.
“For too long, governance has felt distant—locked behind walls of bureaucracy. But our country’s greatest resource isn’t oil or land; it is our people,” Atiku said.
He added that building the Nigeria of citizens’ aspirations required greater openness, accountability and regular engagement between political leaders and the electorate.

Describing Ask AA as a direct citizen-engagement platform, the former vice president said it was designed to promote transparency, accountability and dialogue without unnecessary intermediaries.
He invited Nigerians to question his economic record, scrutinise his policy proposals on technology, security and employment, and submit recommendations for national progress.
“Nothing is off the table. I want to hear your questions, your policy critiques and your best ideas,” he said.

Atiku also disclosed that he would personally telephone selected participants who provide their contact details on the platform to hear about their experiences and the challenges affecting their daily lives.

According to him, transparent and technology-driven governance should begin with how leaders listen to citizens rather than remain a promise for the future.
“I’m logged in and ready. If you could ask me one question, what would it be?” he asked.

Precise Post recalls that the launch comes as political parties and their presidential aspirants prepare for the 2027 general election, with the platform offering Nigerians an avenue to seek clarification on Atiku’s record, policy priorities and proposals for addressing the country’s challenges.
