Prophetess Glory Okon Recounts Dream She Says Preceded Father’s Conversion to Christianity

ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  –   Prophetess Glory Okon has shared a personal testimony of how her father reportedly turned to Christianity following years of prayers for his salvation, recounting a dream she experienced while outside Nigeria that she believes was connected to his spiritual transformation.

In the testimony titled “How My Father Became Born Again from the Realm of the Spirit,” the cleric said her father’s salvation had been a major concern to her, prompting her to continually pray for him to know God personally and begin serving Him.

According to her, the experience began one night when she had a dream in which she found herself inside her father’s house.

She said she noticed a bag hanging on the wall, containing a piece of wood tied with red cloth.

“I went straight to it and touched it, and immediately, it was consumed by fire,” she recounted.

Prophetess Okon said that in the same dream, her father approached her and asked her to touch another object he usually relied on for protection.

She said she touched the object, which was also consumed by fire, before she woke up.

The cleric explained that the significance of the dream became clearer when she eventually returned to Nigeria and her brother informed her that their father had started attending church.

She said the news immediately reminded her of the dream she had experienced while abroad, which she interpreted as a spiritual encounter connected to her prayers for her father’s salvation and deliverance.

According to her, her father has continued to serve God since then and remains committed to his relationship with the church.

“Up until today, as I share this testimony, my father is still serving God. He does not joke with church, and he does not joke with his relationship with God,” she said.

Interprets Dream as Work of the Holy Spirit
Reflecting on the experience, Prophetess Okon said she believed the hand she saw in the dream represented the hand of the Holy Spirit working through her in the spiritual realm.

She interpreted the destruction of the objects as symbolic of the breaking of spiritual bondage and the removal of things her father had relied on for protection.

Citing John 8:36, which states that those whom the Son sets free are free indeed, she emphasised the power of Jesus Christ to deliver and transform lives.

She also referenced First John 1:9, urging people to confess their sins, repent and seek God’s forgiveness.

The cleric encouraged Christians to examine their lives and identify anything they might be placing above their relationship with God.

She urged people to turn away from ungodly practices and put their trust in Jesus Christ, stressing that genuine transformation begins with surrendering one’s life to God.

Urges Families to Pray for Loved Ones
Drawing lessons from the biblical account of Gideon in Judges 6, Prophetess Okon highlighted God’s instruction to Gideon to destroy his father’s altar to Baal and cut down the Asherah pole before undertaking his divine assignment.

She said the account illustrated the importance of confronting ungodly practices and remaining committed to God’s purpose.

The cleric urged believers not to give up praying for the salvation of their parents, siblings, children and other loved ones, regardless of their present circumstances.

“My father began going to church, and today, he is still serving God. If God can touch a heart and transform a life, never conclude that your loved one is beyond His reach,” she said.

She cited Luke 5:32, where Jesus declared that He came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance, as she encouraged those yet to embrace Christianity to give their lives to Jesus Christ.

Prophetess Okon concluded with prayers for the salvation of families, deliverance from spiritual bondage and the restoration of those who had strayed from God.

Under her Wonders of EL-ROI theme, she reaffirmed her message of hope, declaring that when God sees a person, He can reach them, transform their lives and give them a new beginning.
