Abuja (Precise Post) – Recently appointed chairman of volleyball association in Adamawa state. Rtd DCP Stephen Hasso, has vowed to ensure that volleyball is revived in Adamawa state.
In his chat with pressmen at the ongoing Volleyball Nations cup Championship in Abuja, Hasso who is appreciative of the new post that came expectedly, expressed gratitude and promised to rejuvenate the game of volleyball in Adamawa in the same way he made a statement as former chairman of police volleyball association.
The once volleyball gaffer has equally call on stake holders to support Musa Niimirod’s led president of volleyball association to greater heights he stated.
“It is something I wasn’t expecting though. I stopped somewhere, that is been the chairman of police volleyball association. Maybe the state found me worthy to appoint me the chairman of Adamawa state. Volleyball has gone astray in Adamawa state.
I am not only appointed chairman in Adamawa state because I know volleyball. I have played actively from 1972-1990 before I retired. So they know whom they have appointed.
We already have a team to compete in the division one both Male/Female, hoping to qualify for premier league.
As it is we are not going to wait for the ministry for sponsorship. We will source for sponsors. Anywhere I go I always leave a legacy.
Lastly from me. I will like all stakeholders to join hands and support, president of Volleyball, Musa Niimirod and give him all the support to take Volleyball to greater heights. I always pray for him”. He concluded.
